Abstract of the talk:
Biogenic Metallic nanoparticles capped by Ocimum Tenuiflorium phytochemicals were synthesized and further characterized by UV-Vis, IR and TEM techniquies. This formulation showed good antibacterial activity in well diffusion experiments carried out in lab tests against Xanthomonas Axonopodis Punicae and field trials showed encouraging results on the bacterial blight disease ( Oily Spots ) affecting pomegranate fruit. The synergistic action of the Metallic nano particles with the plant extract suppresses the spread of gram -ve bacteria by acting on their cell wall.
